Introduction

BridgePay is excited to beta the Ingenico Tetra offering for our announce PayGuardian Cloud customers. 

Ingenico Tetra with PayGuardian Cloud is

Tetra, a semi-integrated solution

and requires integration to

joining our PayGuardian Cloud API with Ingenico Tetra payment terminals.

  • Ingenico Tetra devices that are currently supported are:

    • Lane 3000

    • Lane 5000

    • Lane 7000

    • Lane 8000

    • Lane 3600 (coming soon)

  • The LINK and the MOVE devices are not supported with our initial implementation

Device Configuration

Note

Ingenico devices do not come with a power cable, power pack or USB/Ethernet cables. Please ensure you explicitly order the required cables. Most use cases will require the Ethernet enabled power cable.

Warning

Before using the device, please ensure it has been set up correctly by the distributor to include the accurate date and time. Incorrect date and time can cause call scheduling and mandatory daily reboots to fail. Please follow these steps to ensure the devices are set up properly: https://bridgepaynetwork.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/DC/pages/243236929/Ingenico+Device+Troubleshooting#Validating-Device-Configurations

Boarding

When boarding a merchant intending who intends to use PayGuardian Cloud with Tetra, the following process must be followed by the Reseller to configure the Tetra devices to function with PayGuardian Cloud:

For each merchant boarded, the following form must be completed per device and sent

Reseller must request device configuration from BridgePay, as the device serial number is required, as well as parameter defaults.

Where you want your terminal boarded for (ex. UAT, Production)

Reseller Name

The name of your Reseller Account within the Gateway

Reseller ID

The number assigned to your Reseller Account within the Gateway

Merchant Group Name

The name of your Merchant Group within the Gateway

Merchant Group ID

The number assigned to your Merchant Group within the Gateway

Merchant Account Name

The name of your Merchant Account within the Gateway

Merchant Account Code

The number assigned to your Merchant Account within the Gateway

Device Type

The model of the Tetra device we are boarding

Device Serial Number 1 & 2

The 25 digit SN found on the bottom most Ingenico tag on the back of your device.

Automatic Updates

Whether or not you want your terminal to automatically update to the newest version once it is available

Automatic Update - Frequency (Days)

How often your device checks to see if a new update is available for download

Automatic Update - Device Update Time

The time in which your device checks to see if a new version is available to be downloaded

All Settings Enabled

Answer Yes if you wish for all settings to the right of this column to be enabled.

Daily Reboot Time (11pm if Blank)

The time you wish for the device to do its daily reboot.

EMV Chip Insert

The ability to accept payments on the device through inserting the card into the device

EMV Contactless

The ability to accept payments on the device through Tap (including Apple Pay & Google Pay)

Manual Entry

The ability to manually type the card information on the device if a card is not present.

Signature Capture

The ability to require the cardholder to sign for the transaction

Cash Back

The ability to allow for a debit cardholder to request for cash back after the transaction

Tip Prompt

The ability to allow for cardholders to choose a tip amount during the payment process

Amount Confirmation

The ability to make the cardholder confirm the amount being charged on their card prior to payment presentation

CVV Prompt

The ability to require the CVV of the card to be presented during payment

ZIP Prompt

The ability to require the ZIP code of the billing address of the card to be presented during payment

Debit AID - MASTERCARD

The ability to set how Mastercard debit card purchases are processed, whether it requires a PIN (US Common), does not require a PIN (Global) or allow the cardholder to decide.

Debit AID - VISA

The ability to set how VISA debit card purchases are processed, whether it requires a PIN (US Common), does not require a PIN (Global) or allow the cardholder to decide.

Debit AID - AMEX

The ability to set how American Express debit card purchases are processed, whether it requires a PIN (US Common), does not require a PIN (Global) or allow the cardholder to decide.

Debit AID - DISC

The ability to set how Discover debit card purchases are processed, whether it requires a PIN (US Common), does not require a PIN (Global) or allow the cardholder to decide.

Debit AID - DNA

The ability to set how DNA debit card purchases are processed, whether it requires a PIN (US Common), does not require a PIN (Global) or allow the cardholder to decide.

Debit AID - UnionPay

The ability to set how UnionPay debit card purchases are processed, whether it requires a PIN (US Common), does not require a PIN (Global) or allow the cardholder to decide.

Debit AID - JCB

The ability to set how JCB debit card purchases are processed, whether it requires a PIN (US Common), does not require a PIN (Global) or allow the cardholder to decide.

Download & Pairing Process

Upon receipt of the terminals, a final download must be completed to ready the device for use with PayGuardian Cloud. The following instructions should be provided to the recipient of the terminals (merchant or reseller partner) to complete this final download:

  • Plug the device into power and Ethernet

    • Wait for the boot process to complete

    • Terminal should load to a Welcome payment screen

  • Connect the Device to Hosted Estate Manager for Download Management

    • Press 2634

    • Press “F”

    • Select “Tetra Admin”

    • Select “2 - Download Application”

    • Select “2 - Start Download”

    • For “Enter Package Name” hit the Green O key (there is no need to enter a name)

    • Download will take place

      • Note that the device will reboot multiple times during the download. Do not interrupt power or Ethernet connections.

  • Pair the device with PayGuardian Cloud following the process for Pairing with PayGuardian Cloud

    • Use the GetPairingCode request to obtain a pairing code

    • Enter the Pairing Code on the device

    • Use the GetUUID request to retrieve the terminalID

  • Complete a transaction using the PayGuardian Cloud API with your terminalID
