Pairing an Ingenico Tetra Device using PayGuardian Cloud

This guide assumes that the Download Process outlined on this page has been completed. If this download has not taken place, please proceed to that page and return here once the download completes.

The following Postman Collection can be used to get started with the Pairing Process:

Steps

  1. Turn on device after the initial download completes.

  2. Tap/Press the “Settings” option on the Tetra devices screen.

    1. This is located in the bottom right of the screen.

    2. Note: The TerminalID/UUID is displayed on the device on the resulting screen after pressing “Settings”. This is shown below. The UUID can be transcribed from this screen, or you can proceed to step 3 to obtain this value via the API.

  3. Tap/Press “Pair” option on the Tetra devices screen.

    1. This is located in the top right corner of the screen.

  4. Perform the “Get Pairing Code” call via the PayGuardian Cloud API as defined in the linked Postman Collection.

  5. Enter the code returned from the “Get Pairing Code” call into the Ingenico Tetra device and press the GREEN key.

    1. This will associate the device with the generated pairing code and user defined name.

  6. Perform the “Get UUID” call via the PayGuardian Cloud API as defined in the linked Postman Collection.

    1. Your TerminalID (UUID) will be returned in this call.

    2. Save this value for use in the PayGuardian Cloud API.
