Application Installation

Installing this application is simple. This application is used alongside the BroadPOS Manager PAX application and the BroadPOS BridgePay application. Below are detailed instructions on how to install YIPPIE!

Installing from the PAXSTORE

  1. Ensure you order the PAX A-Series device from one of our supported distributors found here.

  2. When ordering, ensure you instruct the distributor to inject the BridgePay encryption key and a processor specific debit key if needed.

  3. Install the latest firmware for your device.

  4. In your PAXSTORE, install the newest version of the BroadPOS Manager.

  5. In your PAXSTORE, install the newest version of the BroadPOS BridgePay P2PE.

The PayGuardian steps can be skipped as this is a standalone application only. Please disregard steps 15 & 16 on these separate steps.

Installing YIPPIE!

Once the device is setup and ready for YIPPIE!, You can simply search for and install the newest version of the YIPPIE! application.

Programming YIPPIE!

Program YIPPIE! to connect to your Merchant Account using the BridgePay Integration tab.

  • Merchant Account Code: The Merchant Account Code for the Merchant Account the YIPPIE! application will be processing and reporting for

  • Username: The BridgePay username that has access to the Merchant Account Code entered above

  • Password: The Password for the Username entered above

  • API Base URL: The URL the device will process to and report on

Program YIPPIE! functionality using the Postback Options tab.

The Postback feature in YIPPIE! is a more technical feature where transaction details can be sent on each transaction to your server so it can be consumed on the client side and be used as a way to see live transaction information outside of the device.   • Authentication URL: The URL that will be used to authenticate the incoming data.

  • Post URL: The URL the transaction data will post to.

  • Client ID: Addiotnal Optional Data Elements.

  • Client Secret: Addiotnal Optional Data Elements.

  • Audience: Addiotnal Optional Data Elements.

  • Grant Type: Addiotnal Optional Data Elements.

Convenience Fee Setup

  • Convenience Fee: Enables the Convenience Fee option based on either a Flat Fee Amount or a Percentage Amount.

  • Flat Fee Amount: A dollar amount that will be added onto the base amount of a transaction (up to $20)

  • Percentage Amount: A percentage of the base amount that is added to the grand total of a transaction (up to 4%)

Terminal Function Options

  • Enable Debit: Enables the debit option in YIPPIE! (BroadPOS BridgePay must also have debit enabled to work)

  • Enable EBT: Enables the EBT option in YIPPIE! (BroadPOS BridgePay must also have EBT enabled to work)

  • Manager Password: The password set for managers (merchant manager)

  • Operator Password: The password set for operators (cashiers)

  • Password on Sale: Allows a choice

    • Disabled = No password prompt on sale button

    • Manager Password = Manager password prompt on the sale button

    • Operator Password = Operator password prompt on the sale button

  • Password on Refund: Allows a choice

    • Disabled = No password prompt on sale button

    • Manager Password = Manager password prompt on the refund button

    • Operator Password = Operator password prompt on the refund button

  • Password on Settle: Allows a choice

    • Disabled = No password prompt on sale button

    • Manager Password = Manager password prompt on the settle button

    • Operator Password = Operator password prompt on the settle button

  • Password on Open Batch: Allows a choice

    • Disabled = No password prompt on sale button

    • Manager Password = Manager password prompt on the open batch button

    • Operator Password = Operator password prompt on the open batch button

Branding YIPPIE!

Easily add a custom color and logo to YIPPIE! before pushing the application to the device.

Branding Color: Add a HEX code here to change the branding color. This will change the background color behind the custom logo as well as the color of the button icons.

Custom Logo: Upload any PNG, JPG or GIF image to use as a custom logo on your devices. Click “Upload File” and then click “Please Select Parameter File.” Find your local image file and click “Open.” Image file will upload.

Saving YIPPIE!

After you have configured the YIPPIE! application to your liking you must save and push YIPPIE! to your device.

  1. Click “Save” in the bottom right of the PAXSTORE

Saving YIPPIE! setup as a Template

🌟Pro Tip: This will make your life easier as creating a template will allow you to program YIPPIE! on many devices with the same settings. No need to to program over and over.

Before you click Next in PAXSTORE, you can save you setup as a template. This will allow you to push the same setup to multiple devices without having to program each device.

  1. Click Save Template

  3. When installing to a new device with the same settings, simply choose Push Template

  4. Search for your template and select it. After selecting it you can make changes before pushing to the device

Opening the YIPPIE! application

Once the application has been installed on the device, simply tap the YIPPIE! icon and the application will open with your desired branding. Once in the application, access to sales, refunds, full merchant account reporting, settlement and more.

Android 10 and Newer

When first opening the application, prompts to allow access to images and media will be displayed. Allow access to these.

An additional prompt will appear to allow the application to open automatically. Toggle “Allow display over other apps” to on to allow the application to auto-start if desired.
