Rebuilding an Ingenico Device via LLT
This guide will cover wiping a device in the Ingenico application LLT and then reloading the device with the latest UPP (Device Operating System) and the latest PayGuardian Desktop or Cloud apps.
1. Prerequisites
Must have the device connected to a PC via an USB Ingenico specific USB cable.
Must have the ability to install a 3rd party application on the windows machine the device is plugged into.
2. Install LLT
Install the LLT tool on the windows machine the device is plugged into.
3. Reboot the Device in LLT Mode
Hold down the pound key and yellow key to reboot.
When “Welcome” and scrolling dots are on screen, hold down the pound key (period key) until the device reboots in LLT mode (LLT will display on the device screen)
4. Wiping/Clearing the Device
Ensure the device is plugged into the windows machine via USB
Open the LLT application
Click “Advanced mode”
On the bottom right, double click the terminal to connect to the terminal.
Click the Box icon in the top right
Click the Broom icon
Click yes on the pop-up and then click “Uninstall these ____ components.”
Double click the terminal to disconnect to the terminal. This may take some time, but you will wait until the device reboots. When the device comes back online, it will be wiped/cleared.
5. Installing UPP & PayGuardian Cloud Application
Download the proper device ZIP file from this page: PayGuardian Cloud Tetra Solution | Download Files for Device Distributors
Once downloaded, extract all ZIP contents
Reboot the device in LLT mode (Section 3 above)
Click “Advanced mode”
On the bottom right, double click the terminal to connect to the terminal.
On the left side of LLT, find the downloaded and extracted folder and drill down until you see a pink open folder. Drag this folder in LLT to the right section. Progress bar will appear.
When progress bar has reached 100% without error, double click the device in the bottom right
The device will reboot (maybe multiple times).
When asked about Key Injection choose No Key Injection and then choose yes
The device will reboot. The device is now ready to use.
6. Installing UPP & PayGuardian Desktop Application

On the bottom right, double click the terminal to connect to the terminal.
